Rationale

The current processes of globalization, privatization and deregulation have changed dramatically the energy industry. Nowadays, energy markets are very competitive and sophisticated. New technologies are being developed. Also the demand for energy is growing worldwide at a alarming rate. At the same time, serious threats to security of energy markets abound. Hence, effective and efficient energy management that understands the emerging economic and sociopolitical reality, technical demands of modern energy systems and the environmental concerns, is of critical importance.

To support the urgent need of energy companies to equip employees with high-level competencies, WTU offers the following educational programs:

a) The Executive MBA in Energy, which contains three streams:

  • Energy Policy & World Trade,

  • Energy Management, and

  • Energy Finance.

b) The Executive Development Programs in Energy (four types):

  • Global Energy Markets,

  • Energy Policy & World Trade,

  • Energy Management, and

  • Energy Finance.

The Executive MBA in Energy is designed for junior managers of local energy companies & financial institutions, energy educators, junior staff of foreign energy firms, junior managers of energy-related institutions in the public sector, and energy analysts.

The Executive Development Programs in Energy serve the needs of the middle- and upper-level managers of domestic energy companies, energy regulators and officials, energy educators and local staff of foreign energy firms.
