Programs in Insurance:

Rationale

Nowadays, an increasingly complex range of factors such as globalization, deregulation, liberalization and convergence is making a huge impact on the insurance industry and setting new policy, trading and regulatory standards worldwide. Therefore a continuous learning to develop new skills and knowledge is crucial for the insurance professionals to raise the level of their performance and meet the awaiting challenges. An efficient, effective and responsible insurance industry is especially essential for the “emerging market” countries in order to speed up their integration into global economy and assure a strong economic growth.

The WTU Programs in Insurance are designed to support the urgent educational needs of insurance professionals and companies, in particular in the emerging economies. Currently, we propose:

1.  The Executive MBA in Insurance Program, which contains two tracks tailored to the needs of professionals at different levels of the organization:

a) The Beginning Professionals Track (for junior professionals in insurance industry); and

b) The Mid-Career Professionals Track (for the middle- and upper-level management in insurance industry.

2. The Executive Development Programs in Insurance

These programs will benefit insurance agents & brokers, insurance educators, local staff of foreign insurers, managers of insurance-related institutions in the public sector, insurance analysts, etc. They will help them to acquire the latest development tools, identify trends in the insurance industry both globally and locally, and effectively deal with on-the-job issues.
