The WTU will offer International MBA (IMBA)
and International Executive MBA (IEMBA) Programs in each of its
Program Areas.
WTU Executive MBA
Programs are intensive and aim to attract high-calibre participants
from a wide variety of disciplines and professions. There are
several formats by which the programs follow: 14-months full time,
16-months full time or 18-months weekend. Some programs may include
an internship component as well.
Core business
concepts such as accounting, corporate finance, financial statement
analysis, and ethics are offered in each program designed to bring
students up to par and to ensure those with different backgrounds
have a general knowledge of fundamental business principles. These
lectures will ensure participants can master the basic tools they
will need in their future.
Instructional
methods include conceptual and application learning, classroom
lecture and discussion sessions, case studies, contemporary issues
speakers, analysis and presentation. The programs include
presentations by experts from universities and international
insurance corporations combining academic excellence with practical
experience.
The symposium at
the end of each program may include an overseas study trip where
participants may visit local enterprises and meet top executives and
professionals from the region.

IMBA Admission Requirements: |

Curriculum: |

Foundation modules in finance,
accounting, and economics for managers where these have not been
obtained at the undergraduate level; introductory modules relevant
to the various fields of trade; advanced modules in areas relevant
to learners’ specialization.
The curriculum will involve 800 hours
of classroom interaction given by means of teaching modules. A
module will range from one week to 6 weeks in length depending on
the subject area. Teaching will be 5 hours per day, 5 days per
week. |

Internships: |

Each learner will
be assigned a 4-month internship at a WTU partnership organization
to give learners hands-on experience in the field of trade. |

Evaluation: |

Each module will be
evaluated by means of an exam, project or other means. |

The International Executive MBA is a
full-time degree program for mid-career and senior trade
practitioners and policymakers.
|

Admission
Requirements: |

at least 5 years
experience in a management position in trade;
-
an undergraduate
degree from a recognized university, or equivalent;

one letter of recommendation from an
individual with direct knowledge of applicants work;
-
basic business
skills (as determined by a WTU test – similar to GMAT);
-
a personal
motivation essay (approximately 1000 words);
-
ability to function
in the English language) (note: pre-program English language
training is available);
-
a successful
interview with WTU Admissions and Faculty.
